RuaiTV launches two new Swara deployments in Indonesia

RuaiTV has launched three news service channels for its audiences in Indonesia on 15 February 2012. Since the coverage of RuaiTV is limited, to reach out more audiences not only to get the news but also to submit the news, RuaiTV has developed RuaiSMS, RuaiSwara and Swara Publik.

 

RuaiSMS is a citizen journalist reporting news channel. Anyone with cell phones anywhere in the globe can receive news created by 150 trained citizen journalists through out West Kalimantan or West Borneo (Indonesia). The SMS news is in Indonesian language or Bahasa Indonesia.

RuaiSwara, the IVR system borrowed or adopted from CGNetSwara, is a news channel service that provides reports from trained citizen journalists in voice format. Anyone in the world with telephone connection can hear the news by call the RuaiSwara number: +62811574441. The news is in Bahasa Indonesia.

Swara Publik is also an IVR system provided to any citizen to record they news reports. Anyone can record or listen the news by calling Swara Publik number: +6281649000555.

“We have social responsibility to serve indigenous people communities and communities in remote areas who have no access to main news outlets and have never been reported. Through mobile technology, we can reach out them easily to bridge the information gap,” said Stefanus Masiun, the Director of RuaiTV after he formally launched the services.
